Possible UFO Captured on Video Above Brazilian Farm After Reports of Strange Sounds

A Brazilian animal rescuer has captured footage of a mysterious aerial object over a rural property in southern Brazil, triggering widespread speculation online about whether the sighting could be a UFO—or what experts now commonly refer to as a UAP, or Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon.

The video was recorded by Mayk Leão, an influencer and animal rescuer who lives on a farm in Campo Largo, a rural municipality in the state of Paraná near Curitiba. The footage quickly went viral after Leão shared his experience on social media, where millions of viewers began debating what exactly appeared in the night sky.

Why Was He Filming?

Leão said the recording happened by chance.

Earlier that day, he noticed unusual sounds coming from a wooded area near his property and observed several farm animals acting strangely. Concerned by the unexplained noises and disturbances around the area, he decided to investigate—hours before the mysterious lights appeared.

Leão, who is known for rescuing and caring for animals, said he began documenting the events with his smartphone after becoming concerned about the sounds and the behavior of the animals on the property. Later that evening, he noticed a cluster of bright lights over a remote, forested area and started filming.

What Did the Object Look Like?

The footage circulating online shows multiple bright lights visible above or near a mountainous ridge in a sparsely populated area of Campo Largo. Due to the distance, darkness, and heavy zoom used during filming, the object’s exact shape remains difficult to determine.

Leão described the object as extremely large and unlike anything he had seen before. In his account, the lights appeared multicolored and seemed to remain stationary for an extended period before eventually disappearing. He also claimed the object appeared rounded and surrounded by numerous lights.

Some online observers compared the appearance to a hovering craft, while skeptics suggested the lights could potentially be drones, distant aircraft, atmospheric effects, or other conventional explanations.

The Strange Sounds

One of the most discussed aspects of the incident involves the sounds Leão reported hearing before the sighting.

According to his statements, the noises came from nearby woods and sounded similar to someone choking, struggling to breathe, or an object producing metallic cracking sounds. The unusual audio reportedly alarmed him enough to begin documenting the situation.

Social media users analyzing the footage have proposed numerous explanations for the sounds, ranging from wildlife and environmental noises to mechanical sources. However, no official explanation has been provided, and the exact origin of the sounds remains unknown.

UFO or UAP?

The incident has reignited discussions surrounding UFOs and UAPs.

The term UFO, or Unidentified Flying Object, has traditionally been used to describe aerial phenomena that cannot immediately be identified.
