Filipino pride is once again taking the global stage as acclaimed actress Dolly de Leon joins Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2.
Dolly will play the twin Fire Nation elders Lo and Li, two royal advisers connected to Princess Azula. The role gives the award-winning Filipina actress the challenge of portraying two characters in the same series.
Dolly de Leon Takes on a Dual Role
Lo and Li are known as influential Fire Nation figures who guide and advise Azula.
Playing both characters allows Dolly to bring two distinct personalities to life while becoming part of one of Netflix’s biggest fantasy franchises.
Her casting follows a growing list of international projects that have placed Filipino talent in front of global audiences.
Jon Jon Briones Also Joins the Avatar Cast
Dolly is not the only Filipino performer joining the series.
Filipino-American actor Jon Jon Briones will also appear as Piandao, a skilled swordsman and an important member of the Order of the White Lotus.
Their inclusion gives Filipino viewers two major reasons to watch the new season.
What to Expect From Avatar Season 2
Season 2 will continue Aang, Katara, and Sokka’s journey as they travel through the Earth Kingdom and search for a way to stop the Fire Nation.
The new chapter will also introduce fan-favorite Earthbender Toph Beifong and expand the political conflicts surrounding the Earth Kingdom.
Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 premieres on Netflix on June 25, 2026.
